4 Pairs of Footwear: That’s All You Need!

We are not nomads, and even if we are, we probably won’t be walking around the world barefoot—unless you have a pair of barefoot running shoes, that is. And since this is the case, our world has truly turned upside down and our old wants have now become necessities. Media now dictates what is in and what is out-dated, and as a normal person trying to fit into the society, we abide by these norms in hopes of being accepted.

In the old days, simplicity is beauty, but I do not really know if this is still applicable nowadays. Ask a woman about how many shoes she keeps in her closet, and she would probably say a hundred. However, this should not be the case. What makes life so complex is that there are too many choices when in reality, you only need a few to survive.

The Flip-Flops
The convenience of wearing flip-flops is incomparable and all you need as a pair. However, it does not provide enough support and cushioning to the feet. While others walk around with their flip flops daily, you must never ever use these as your everyday footwear because doing so will definitely torture your feet. Flip-flips were made for simple walks in the beach, and not for extreme sports such as basketball or volleyball.

The Flats
Whether you are an on-the-go mom or a teenager strolling the mall, a pair of flats will definitely meet your walking needs. Not only are they absolutely comfortable, but they also provide you with more support than using flip-flops. Also, when using flats, you’re feet are able to break away from the pressure they feel whenever you’re feeling sexy and you’re wearing your favourite high-heeled shoes. However, there are flats that do not provide enough cushioning, especially the bendable ones. To avoid this, look for flats that have thicker inner and outer soles so that you won’t have problems if ever you are planning to walk around all day long.

The 2-Inched Heels
Even though you might really love buying pairs of stilettos that have heels as high as Mt. Everest, you must also consider buying a pair that is 2-inched tall only. This is best to use at ordinary working days, especially if your work involves a lot of walking or standing. As much as you want to use high-heeled shoes, it is best that you do not sacrifice comfort over appearance. Save your 4-inched stilettos for other formal occasions.

The Sneakers
May you be a male or a female, you should always keep a pair of sneakers at home because they will always come handy. You won’t really spend the rest of your life walking on parks and feeling dainty, so you’d better buy sneakers just in case you decide to go out of town and unleash your adventurist self. And even if you are not the impulsive type, your pair of sneakers can lend you a hand once you decide to hit the gym or jog.
