18 Strangest Ski Resort Destinations in the World

Skiing—one of the most dangerous, but most challenging sports one can ever engage in, and those who say that winter means a season of boredom are totally missing out on half of their lives. Even though a lot find it hard to look for the perfect ski area, there are still some that can provide you with a one-of-a-kind thrill and ski experience.
India
If you are an expert skier and you’re looking for tougher challenge, then Gulmarg, located in Kashmir, India is the place to be. The slopes are very steep in this government-run ski area, and you can enter it through a Gondola.
Telluride, Colorado
One of the greatest and highest ski resorts you can ever find is in Colorado with its sitting reaching more than 8,000 feet.
Liberty Mountain
Students of Liberty University have all the luck for gaining complete access to their school’s man-made ski. The absence of snow in this ski area makes it one the strangest ski destinations in North America and it can also be used by non-students during winter.
Pic du Midi
If you would like to experience something more extreme, Pic du Midi in France would absolutely be the perfect spot for you! This place is not really supervised but you have to sign on a waiver, making you fully responsible for any casualty that may occur during your ski.
